My research interests lie mainly in syntax and morphology and the syntax-semantics interface in Cantonese. My current study is on the syntax of passive constructions, especially the syntax of the give-constructions. I am also interested in the grammaticalization of coverbs and how the uses of these coverbs change. My research mainly employs the framework of Lexical Functional Grammar and Conceptual Semantic Structure.
